1. Homestead Tour & Garden Wander

Come and take a fully guided tour through the homestead with one of our 4^th and/or 5^th generation family member guides. Explore the 34 rooms across the 4 levels and hear the stories, young and old, which each room has to tell. Admire the first-class joinery and the monumental effort it took to build such a place at the turn of the century.

Afterwards, you are free to wander the many nooks and crannies the garden has to offer at your own speed. Marvel at the large Oamaru stone fountain shipped up from Christchurch in the early 1900s. Follow the ‘Old Coach Road’ across a bridge on the lake as horse and cart did many moons ago. Discover the garden dedicated to the horses who have worked the land for over 100 years, wander around the lake, sit and watch the bird life which flourishes in this habitat and don’t forget to look back at the marvelous backdrop, the centrepiece, the homestead.

• Groups above 10 people – $35 per person
• Groups less than 10 people:
